Emma + Sam

“Thank you again for everything - the ceremony was perfect thanks to you!!”

Emma and Sam are a couple of super chill low key lovers who invited their loved ones for a casual Saturday arvo hitching down at Williamstown Botanical gardens. The party then got started over at Two Birds Brewery in Spotswood.

The pair opted to get ready together in the comfort of their home along with some of their close friends and their 2 adored greyhounds Omar & Banshee. They then drove together to the gardens to greet all their beautiful family and friends under the shade of a magnificent golden elm tree. When the time felt right we simply came together for me to tell their story and see them join their hearts and hands in marriage.

Audrey + Ryan

“Jam was incredibly professional, positive and exactly what my partner and I wanted out of a ceremony - an uplifting celebration of our love!
We had spent over two years trying to find the right fit and Jam was nothing short of the best, she was responsive, switched on and a joy to work with.
I loved that on the day, she wore boots from the art festival where my partner and I first got together. Amazing attention to detail.”

Audrey and Ryan are the couple that simply radiates LOVE!

These two sweethearts had originally wanted their good mate Chloe to take the celebrant course and do the honours in marrying them. But when life got in the way Chloe reached out to me to help this couple of legends in officially tying the knot over the border in Corowa NSW. I was totally down for this interstate road trip ceremony!

From our first meeting I knew immediately that Audrey and Ryan are my kinda people. Their mix of epic fun loving vibes with a keen taste for the good things in life meant that their ceremony will surely be NEXT LEVEL AWESOME! They had also enlisted a stella line up of vendors and suppliers to help add to their ultimate celebration of love.

Ryan and Audrey met as work colleagues. They then became best friends who found any excuse to hang out together, multiple times a week. It wasn’t until Ryan went on a trip overseas that they came to accept the fact that they are indeed in love with each other and can not imagine doing life without each other.

Ryan then likes to describe their love playing out in Acts, like some great melodrama serial.

Act 1 being from the time before they moved in together. They were living a secret double life, hiding their relationship from work colleagues, and realising that they were spending an unhealthy amount of time together at work and after work.

Act 2 encompasses them moving in together and getting engaged. It is a time filled with fun and positive memories, but this was also a time where Audrey had multiple bouts of sickness. For Ryan there was some real scary moments. He witnessed Audrey pulling through even if she hid the stress and pain from everyone. Her resilience and appreciation for the silly and small things in life put everything into perspective for Ryan. It really demonstrated just how incredibly special it is to have Audrey in his life.

Act 3 we have the COVID times. Even during the most isolating time in modern day history. These two lovers realised that they got lucky when they got locked down with their very best friend in the world.

Act 4 the now and forever. Ryan plays out the moment where he returns after being away overseas for 2 months and Audrey welcomes him home with a homemade degustation of his favourite foods and snacks including an AI person reading out a monologue of his European journey. A perfect example of the effort and lengths they’d go to for each other for the lols as well as to show each other just how much they care.

I loved hearing their story of how Audrey booked a ticket to join Ryan at Dark MOFO festival down at MONA in Tassie, it was where they ended up sharing their first cheeky pash. Ryan then arranged to propose to Audrey upon the Posh Pit cruise back from Dark MOFO 2 years later. So come the day of their ceremony I chucked on my Dark MOFO Blundstone boots, bought during them COVID lockdown times, knowing that they’d be the perfect ceremony boots. I didn’t even think the soon to be newlyweds would even notice, being their wedding day and all. But they did, and expressed how they loved the tie in detail.

And that’s the kinda people they are, they take note in the small things and make an effort in appreciating it and those around them. It was a real joy to be a part of their day and to be amongst all their loved ones who were lucky enough to witness and experience the powerful love shared between Audrey and Ryan.
So many feels and just the best vibes all round!

Andy + Olivia

“Jam you were absolutely perfect on the day, everything from your speech to your killer outfit (you got a lot of compliments from our guests ) We couldn't have asked for a better celebrant - thank you so much again for being part of our day!”

Andy and Olivia are the ultimate adorable power-couple in the world of online games design.

Their paths crossed IRL back in 2017 when they both attended a get together for the Melbourne video games design community, at the now defunct Bar SK in Collingwood. Olivia recalls being on the same table as this guy with ‘a lot of energy’. It wasn’t until her journey home looking through photos from the event that she recognised that guy as the @andybrophy she knew from Twitter. So she promptly slid into his DMs to say how lovely it was to meet ‘meet’ him offline.

They met up again a couple of months later when Andy invited Olivia along to his housewarming party. There were real sparks flying that night as they instantly connected with one another and danced together all night long. Andy fell head over heels for Olivia and embarked on an epic courtship, with them eventually spending time with each other almost every day and realising that they were so similar in almost every way.

Andy proposed to Olivia as they took their brand new furbaby Nene aka Cinnamon Angel for a walk in between Melbourne’s pandemic lockdowns. In that emotional moment Olivia simply cried and hugged Andy, leaving a very confused puppy screaming and howling in the background.

For Olivia and Andy’s wedding they treated their loved ones to a most opulent celebration held within the lush grounds of Rippon Lea Estate. The weather gods were kind that day as the morning rains passed by the time we came to set up for their ceremony on the lawns in front of the impressive mansion.

Our anxious groom waited excitedly for his bride to arrive for the ceremony. Andy watched as we began the ceremony with the adorable flower children walking in to the sounds of Glass in the Park by Alex Turner. Andy then turned back around in anticipation for Olivia to make her grand entrance accompanied by her loving parents. As Olivia emerged from the treeline Andy turns around to see his beautiful bride for the first time that day looking like pure magic! SLAY!

When it came time for their vows Andy and Olivia each took the mic and spoke directly from their heart whilst looking intently into each other’s eyes. A powerful moment shared with all their wonderful guests.

Andy and Olivia then took a moment to enjoy a wander through the glorious grounds of Rippon Lea as newlyweds whilst their guests enjoyed canape and drinks around the 70’s Hollywood inspired pool. They then had their reception and epic party times within the grand ballroom of Rippon Lea mansion.

Andy and Olivia’s wedding day was simply full of love and magic, a true fairytale ending!

Lara + Dan

“Jam, I say this with all sincerity, you made our day so so special. It couldn’t have been what it was without you. Thank you so much. Many of our guests made a point to say how much they enjoyed your ceremony and how beautiful you were :)”

Lara and Dan are a dream team.

This dynamic duo met at the very beginning of the Tinder romantic period. Lara was inspired to give the app a red hot go when one of her dear friends Burcin came over for dinner and confessed that she was going on a Tinder date the very next day. That night Lara happened to swipe right on Dan’s profile and the rest is pure magic.

Lara recalls walking in on their first date at the Black Cat and immediately recognising Dan from the back. They hit it off over beers and chats about their shared love for music and films. Dan’s first thoughts upon meeting Lara was ‘YESSS! She’s not taller than me!’, he was also instantly attracted to her smile and her passion for filmmaking. They shared their first kiss that night at Dan’s tram stop and they have been pretty much inseparable since that day .

Over the next 5 years Lara and Dan dated, travelled together and eventually moved in with each other. Dan then finally coming through with a beautiful post beach day proposal down in Dromana on Jan 3rd 2020, little did they know that the whole world was about to change. The various Melbourne Lockdowns meant that Lara and Dan’s original wedding date had to be rescheduled again and again.

It was the third time that was the charm for Lara and Dan’s wedding ceremony. These two chilled out lovers didn’t stress or fuss through all the uncertainty. It reminded them of the time they were stranded in New York when their flight was cancelled. This time instead of booking a hotel and wandering the streets of New York, they stayed in and had movie nights with fancy order-in dinners and cocktails. No matter what life throws at this dream team, they will always have each other to pivot and make the most of the situation.

Lara and Dan rocked out their wedding day doing exactly what they love. They got the day started with a shoot walking around the backstreets of Fitzroy with the amazing Kat from It’s Beautiful Here. Lara and Dan then met with some of their friends for some pre-ceremony cocktails at bar Amarillo on Brunswick Street. Our lovers then made their entrance into their wedding ceremony at Rupert on Rupert hand-in-hand, walking in to a live performance of Cat Power’s Sea of Love by Lara’s former bandmate Charlie.

Lara and Dan’s ceremony was full of joy with all their stunningly dressed guests joining in the laughs and cheers. Once the ceremony wrapped up everyone was treated to a night of deliciousness by the Rupert crew accompanied by a fiery dancefloor lead by Lara and her roving wedding band.

It was such a vibe!
